A partir de 13 de julho, todas as instituições portuguesas passaram a ter acesso gratuito à coleção multidisciplinar da Web of Science: ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Citation Index. Esta coleção contém 5 milhões de documentos de 4000 instituições em 60 países, incluindo Portugal.

Para divulgar esta nova coleção, a Web of Science irá realizar um Webinar gratuito, no dia 18 de julho. A sessão abordará os seguintes tópicos:
- O conteúdo da coleção ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Citation Index;
- Como usar a coleção para ampliar os seus domínios na investigação;
- Como adicionar trabalhos de dissertações e teses ao seu perfil de investigador na Web of Science.

Starting from July 13, all Portuguese institutions now have free access to the multidisciplinary collection of Web of Science: ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Citation Index. This collection contains 5 million documents from 4,000 institutions in 60 countries, including Portugal.

To promote this new collection, Web of Science will be hosting a free webinar on July 18. The session will cover the following topics:
- The content of the ProQuest Dissertations & Theses Citation Index collection
- How to use the collection to broaden your research domains
- How to add dissertation and thesis works to your researcher profile in Web of Science

A Clarivate acaba de disponibilizar a nova versão do Journal Citation Reports (JCR), uma ferramenta focada em ajudar a avaliar e comparar revistas científicas de forma segura com a ajuda de métricas e dados de confiança.
Nesta nova edição vai encontrar: 
- Redução do Journal Impact factor para uma casa decimal: com o intuito de incentivar os utilizadores a considerarem outros indicadores e dados descritivos presentes no JCR, o JIF foi simplificado para uma casa decimal. Esta mudança traz impacto na distribuição das revistas pelos quartis nas categorias
- Extensão do Fator de Impacto (JIF) a todas as revistas da Web of Science Core Collection: pela primeira vez, o JIF é aplicado a todos os periódicos indexados, incluindo os presentes no Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) e no Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI) e uma maior usabilidade melhor (gráficos interativos, navegação melhorada e ajuda contextual

Clarivate has just released the new version of the Journal Citation Reports (JCR), a tool focused on helping evaluate and compare scientific journals securely using reliable metrics and data.
In this new edition, you will find:
- Reduction of the Journal Impact Factor to one decimal place: with the intention of encouraging users to consider other indicators and descriptive data available in the JCR, the JIF has been simplified to one decimal place. This change has an impact on the distribution of journals across quartiles within categories.
- Extension of the Journal Impact Factor (JIF) to all journals in the Web of Science Core Collection: for the first time, the JIF is applied to all indexed journals, including those in the Arts and Humanities Citation Index (AHCI) and the Emerging Sources Citation Index (ESCI), along with improved usability (interactive graphics, enhanced navigation, and contextual help).
